Richmond photographer snaps IKEA staff
Richmond professional photographer Greg Schurman spent a lot of time over at the new IKEA megastore on Bridgeport Road recently, but he wasn’t there to buy any furniture or sample the Swedish meatballs.
Schurman was tasked with snapping photos of the staff with lengthy employment histories, and the exercise became more of a fashion shoot than just a series of headshots.
It took five days of shooting sessions to accommodate all the different shifts of weekends, nights, and day time staff, the project was a complete success. It showed the value to employees of their commitment and pride of being in a great place to work.
The wall of fame was completed earlier this month.
