Tickets still available for Dream Auction fundraiser

Tickets remain available until Monday to support an amazing cause at the 11th annual Dream Auction, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The brunch buffet fundraiser supports local children and families affected by poverty by providing funding for vital services through local organizations such as the Richmond School Breakfast programs, Community Meals at Gilmore Park United Church, Richmond Food Bank, Stir it Up Youth Community Kitchen program and CHIMO Crisis Services.

100 per cent of proceeds will go directly to local charities.

For more information about tickets, call Gilmore Park United Church at 604-277-5377.

Tickets are $38 for adults, and $15 for children ages four to 12. Tickets must be purchased before Monday, Dec. 3, and are also available through CHIMO, the Richmond Food Bank, St. Alban's Church and Richmond Bethels Church.

The Dream Auction is a fun-filled event with more than 200 silent auction items and an exclusive live auction, featuring items donated by local merchants and residents.

With nearly one-third of Richmond children living in poverty, and 20 per cent of seniors living in poverty, organizers of the Dream Auction have a dream of their own: that no child in Richmond will suffer from poverty.

This year's goal is to raise $38,000.
