Richmond Museum hosts Seeds of Harmony
Are you interested in meeting and conversing with members from Richmond’s vast array of faiths, religions and spiritual practices? You are invited to strengthen your understanding of Richmond’s diverse faith communities by participating in Seeds of Harmony. Hosted by the Richmond Museum, it takes place on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Richmond Cultural Centre.
At Seeds of Harmony, participants can share their personal experiences with people of diverse faiths and cultural backgrounds. They can explore the value of faith in building a stronger, healthier community, where harmony, respect and understanding flourish.
This program is offered in celebration of World Interfaith Harmony Week, designated in 2010 by the United Nations, as a means to spread the message of harmony and tolerance among the followers of all the world’s religions, faiths, and beliefs.
This is a free event, but pre-registration is required by calling 604-247-8333. Early registration is strongly encouraged as space is limited.
The event begins with refreshments at 9 a.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013, the opening presentation begins at 9:30 a.m. and small group discussions start at 10 a.m.
The Richmond Cultural Centre is located at 7700 Minoru Gate.
