Richmond heritage promoters sought for annual awards

The Richmond Heritage Commission is calling for nominations for the annual Richmond Heritage Awards.

The awards recognize the contributions of individuals and organizations in preserving and promoting the city's heritage.

Nominators are asked to send the commission a one-page summary describing the role of the nominee and the scope of the contribution, along with contact information. Nominations can be e-mailed to kevin.eng@richmond.ca or mailed to city hall, care of the Policy Planning Division.

Deadline is April 14. Awards will be presented at the Richmond Delta Regional Heritage Fair's closing awards ceremony Saturday, May 3 at 2 p.m. The event takes place in the Performance Hall of Richmond Cultural Centre. Call 604-247-4626 for more information.
