Edmonton man charged with importing child porn

An Edmonton man has been charged with importing or distributing child pornography and possession of child pornography in Richmond provincial court after a trip to Asia early last year.

Randall Sean Livingston, 48, was pulled aside by a Canada Border Services Agency officer on April 30, 2010 after returning to Canada from China.

During the screening, the officer allegedly located images of child pornography on the laptop computer in Livingston's possession, Richmond RCMP Cpl. Sherrdean Turley said.

The agency then called in the Mounties. Charges were finally approved by the Crown earlier this month.

Livingston is next scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 3.
