Mounties reunite teen with stolen mountain bike
You can imagine Pranjal Kathari's heartbreak.
Just one day after receiving a gleaming new mountain bike, the 14-year-old found that it had been stolen from the family's backyard in Burkeville.
Investigators had little to go on, but went back to the well, so to speak, searching for answers.
Investigators from the Richmond RCMP's property crime unit were brought in and learned that a prolific offender had been released from custody just days earlier.
The offender's whereabouts leading up to the arrest were determined, and the mountain bike was recovered in the offender's known stomping grounds.
So, just six days after his bike was stolen, Kathari was reunited with it.
