Accused rioter to appear in court on Jan. 19
A first court appearance was held for Sophie Laboissonniere in Vancouver provincial court on Wednesday.
The Richmond resident is charged with participating in a riot and breaking and entering. No plea was entered. Police allege she took part in the June 15 Stanley Cup riot that happened in downtown Vancouver. She is alleged to be one of the people who looted the downtown London Drugs store.
The 20-year-old, who was crowned Miss Congeniality at the Miss Coastal Vancouver pageant, is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19, 2012.
