Richmond's population grows 9.2%

Richmond's population has grown 9.2 per cent over five years.

Statistics Canada released its initial 2011 Census data today, showing Richmond had a population of 190,473 last year.

Richmond's population in the 2006 Census was 174,461. Richmond has 71,170 private dwellings according to the 2011 Census.
