Another Richmond man charged in Stanley Cup riot

Another young Richmond resident has been charged in connection with the June 15 riot in Downtown Vancouver last year following the seventh game of the Stanley Cup Finals.

On Thursday, the Integrated Riot Investigation Team announced that Jeffery Xiao, 20, was charged with participating in a riot, and breaking and entering.

Xiao was among six suspected rioters who were charged this week with 12 offences under the criminal code.

A total of 91 suspected rioters are facing 238 criminal charges. The riot team has recommended 592 charges against 200 suspected rioters.
