UPDATE: 'Missing' woman contacts family
UPDATE: Mijia Du has contacted her family members, advised them of her whereabouts and is safe and sound, Richmond RCMP announced on June 18
ORIGINAL STORY:
Richmond RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman that was last seen at Kwantlen’s Richmond campus in 2010.
Mijia Du, 29, has been reported as missing after not having contact with family or friends since 2010. At this point in the investigation, police say there is nothing to indicate suspicious circumstances surrounding Du’s disappearance. But police say this possibility will not be ruled out until Du has been located.
Du’s family would simply like to know she is safe and sound. She is described as an Asian female, 5’6” tall, 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone that has seen Mijia Du or anyone that knows of her whereabouts is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
