Santa arrives in Steveston
A few hundred people, braving a biting cold, rain and wind, greeted the arrival of Santa Claus just after 1 p.m. Saturday at Fisherman's Wharf in historic Steveston.
There were plenty of wide eyes and smiles to greet Jolly Ol' Saint Nicholas, who arrived via hovercraft.
Santa then made his way through the adoring crowd on his way to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery for more photos.
The Steveston Merchants' Association presented the day's festivities which also featured elves handing out candy canes;
Musically Yours, a trio of a carolers, greeting holiday shoppers; and an old-fashioned horse-draw carriage ride through the historic village.
