Cannibus rolls into Richmond
Corey Skinner was getting voters from the Richmond Centre area to sign up Thursday in support of Sensible BC's effort to legalize simple possession of marijuana.
Skinner set up his table during the busy afternoon transit commute at the Brighouse station of the Canada Line, and he appeared to be getting some traction.
Handing out pamphlets and chatting it up with passers-by, Skinner and his team were doing their part in the province-wide bid to obtain 400,000 signatures that would trigger a province-wide referendum.
For that to be a go, much like the forced repeal of the harmonized sales tax, at least 10 per cent of registered voters in each of B.C.'s 85 electoral districts.
