Pedestrian struck, in serious condition

A 35-year-old Richmond man was rushed to hospital in serious condition and underwent surgery Friday night after being struck by a car near No. 1 Road and Blundell.

Richmond RCMP Cpl. Stephanie Ashton said the collision occurred around 11 p.m., and the incident shut down the road while investigators tried to piece together what happened.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.
