Head-on collision claims one

One person is dead and two others suffered minor injuries when two vehicles collided head-on around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

The crash occurred on Steveston Highway, near Roseland Gate, a half block east of No. 3 Road.

Richmond RCMP Cpl. Stephanie Ashton said one of the vehicles appears to have crossed the centre line, sparking the collision.

Although police are continuing to investigate, early indications are that this may have been the result of a medical episode.
