Sockeyes douse Flames, 4-1
Richmond Sockeyes won for the 37th time in 43 games Thursday, outscoring the Ridge Meadows Flames 4-1 in Pacific International Hockey League play at Minoru Arenas.
Jeremy Hamaguchi paced the Sockeyes with a goal and two assists and goalie Kootenay Alder made 23 saves. Hamaguchi is third in league scoring with 67 points, while Alder is the league's top goalie with a 1.68 goals against average.
Richmond concludes the regular season Sunday at Grandview.
The first round of the playoffs is likely to begin next week, but dates have yet to be confirmed.
