Raiders to play for provincial title
Richmond Raiders will play host to North Delta in the provincial nine-man Bantam football championship 2 p.m. Sunday at Minoru Park.
The Raiders reached the title game with a come-from-behind 12-7 win over Vancouver last weekend. Jacob Tubajon scored the winning points on a 10-yard touchdown with under five minutes to play.
It’s the first time Richmond has played for a provincial title since 2001 when the Midget Raiders won.
Richmond’s Atom Division team will also host a semifinal playoff versus North Delta at noon, while its Junior Bantam team kicks off the GSL league playoffs on the North Shore
